What is Thread Face Lift?

It is a non-surgical face lift operation developed in recent years. It is performed by placing specially produced threads that create a rapid lifting effect in the treatment area under the skin with fine needles or blunt-tip cannulae. The threads used in this procedure are of various types and lengths, has polydioxanone (PDO) structure and are biocompatible. These threads replace reduced collagen and elastin fibers in sagging and loose skins. In this way, the skin regains its youthfulness and elasticity.

How is thread face lift performed? How long does thread face lift procedure take?

 

Before the procedure, a local anesthetic cream is applied on the treatment area to make the procedure more comfortable. After the skin is cleaned, the threads are placed under the skin with fine needles or blunt-tip cannulae. The duration of the procedure is 30-45 minutes for the whole face. Therefore, it can be performed even in short times, such as lunch break.

How long does the effect of thread facial lift last?

 

The effect lasts 1-2 years.

What are the points to take care of after thread face lift?

 

The patient can return to daily activities immediately after the procedure. It is recommended to wash the face a day later. Excessively opening the mouth, exaggerated mimics and solid foods should be avoided for the first 1-2 weeks. Rubbing the face and lying face downwards should be avoided until 3 weeks after the procedure. Oral and topical antibiotherapy is recommended to prevent possible infection after the procedure.

Who cannot undergo thread face lift?

Those who are pregnant and breastfeeding, those with autoimmune disease and prone to bleeding such as hemophilia, cancer patients, those with skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, those with the risk of keloid risk cannot undergo the procedure.
