What is SAÇKIRAN (ALOPESİ AREATA)?

Ringworm; It is an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss on hairy skin, eyebrows, eyelashes and body covered areas. It is generally seen in young children and adolescents.
Although the exact cause of ringworm disease is not known; stress is thought to play an important role in the ringworm. Goitre may accompany other autoimmune diseases such as pernicious anemia and vitiligo.

Is SAÇKIRAN (ALOPESİ AREATA) contagious?

Ringworm is not a contagious disease.

TREATMENT OF HAIRCRAFT (ALOPLEIA AREATA):

Cortisone cream and lotions can be used at the beginning of treatment.
In areas with hair loss, cortisone can be injected into the scalp with fine-tipped needles.
Minoxidil, which is widely used in hair loss treatment, was found to be beneficial in ringworm disease.
